It all began in 1772 when Philippe Clicquot, businessman and landowner, founded “UN négoce de vin à l'enseigne Clicquot”, a small company that aspires to cross borders and make this new name of Champagne known to the world. However, it is only with Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, daughter-in-law of the founder, that the Maison grows to become one of the most famous names not only in the Reims area. From the first vintage Champagne, that of 1810, to the refinement of the technique of remuage, there is no hope that she did not follow personally. A history of excellence that continues today thanks to Champagne with a unique personality, always recognizable in their immediate elegance.
