The history of Cavit begins in 1950, when some Winegrowers, aware of the uniqueness of their land and eager to enhance their products, join forces creating a consortium of social wineries, the embryo of Cavit. The consortium was born to assist the Associated wineries and promote the” culture " of quality wine throughout the region, supporting winemakers at every stage. In 1957 the technical function was joined by the commercial function: the consortium equipped itself with a cellar for the increased needs of the members. In 1964 the current headquarters of Ravina di Trento was built, upgraded from 1977 until reaching today's 80,000 square meters. Since then Cavit has become the reference point for Trentino wine production.
