In operation for a century, Stolichnaya today is part of a group also composed of a Russian farm that grows wheat directly in its fields and an innovative bottling plant in Latvia, which deals with filtering and bottling vodka. The care for the raw materials has always been almost manic, the wheat is harvested in several passes, only the best grains are selected for distillation. The water comes from the purest River near the city of Tambov, where the distillery is also located. The heads and tails are immediately discarded and only the heart of the distillation originates vodka. Filtration takes place three times on three different and very pure materials, first on very fine quartz sands and then through Russian birch charcoal. This unique process in constant improvement, has brought Stoli vodka among the world leaders of distillates, universally recognized as one of the best ever.
