THE MANUFACTURER.
Labadia Distillates Group, founded in 1884 in the center of Naples, established itself throughout Italy as early as the early 1900s. Today it is a leading company in the global spirits industry, with a portfolio of more than 40 brands that extends from the core spirits business to wine and soft drinks, acquiring markets such as French, Spanish, Irish, Belgian, Dutch, Finnish and German. The Labadia family was known for special bottles of spirits, which were often given as gifts to the barons of Italy's highest political and social offices. After the 1950s, Labadia's range of liqueurs began to broaden toward what were postwar fashions and trends. Over the years, Labadia's range of liqueurs evolved from large sweet liqueurs with high-sounding bottles and exclusive packaging to the production of the famous Sorrento limoncello, with the opening of a fine artisanal laboratory in the historic center of Sorrento. In the 1990s, thanks precisely to Sorrento limoncello, the Labadia company expanded both nationally and internationally. Today, the assortment and quality of Labadia's liqueurs represent the company's strong point: great specialization in the Horeca and nightlife sectors, with direct imports of the best American whiskeys and Caribbean rums; production of vodka with refined grain distillations; and selected grape varieties for the production of fine grappas, both single-varietal and barrique.
