Antica Torino was born from an idea of Vittorio Zoppi and Filippo Antonelli, vermouth expert, distillates and liquors the first, great and famous wine producer the second. Their collaboration, assisted by Sommelier Paola Rogai, led to the Antica Torino project, born with the precise idea of proposing the Piedmontese tradition in every wine, liquor or distillate produced. For this purpose, only natural ingredients and original recipes are used. Turin has always been the home of Vermouth, once again serving as a setting for passion and love for the Piedmontese Territory, history and culture, cradling the dream of producing great wines and spirits that express Savoy elegance and originality in a sip. Vittorio and Filippo decide to start right here, from the Vermouth of Turin, which represents a city and an era, its habits and its excellences, with the red Vermouth and The Bitter of the sacred. Vermouth is part of the lifestyle of the real people of Turin, who in the living rooms of the city, around the main square met to celebrate “the hour of Vermouth”, consuming a kind of modern aperitif, with appetizers and mixed tastings. Antica Torino starts from these local traditions, starting with the recipe for red Vermouth, more similar to that of the early ‘900s rather than modern ones, thus offering the opportunity to taste aromas and flavors long forgotten. - Clear, therefore, natural flavors picked directly from the garden, such as rhubarb, gentian, oregano, rosemary and thyme, accompanied by absinthe, peel of the grapefruit, ginger, and vanilla, expertly marinated and mixed with wines of excellent quality, all filtered and bottled.
