Description: Forestier Gin is the fruit of a selection of juniper plants, coriander, cinnamon, angelica root, cardamom and lemon peel. The distinctive imprint of the terroir is due to the addition of wild rowan berries (alisier), mountain ash, rosehip, elderberry, sloe, and blueberry from nearby Alsatian forests. Thanks to these wild plants, after maceration and double distillation in copper stills, an intense and complex Gin is obtained, with hints of citrus peel, resin and underbrush. It is an unsweetened Gin
THE MANUFACTURER: Beginning in 1962, three generations have succeeded each other working at the stills of this family business, carrying on over time the tradition of craftsmanship that underlies the market reputation of Distillerie G. Miclo. On the strength of all these years of experience and the skills acquired in extracting the purest aromas from the distillation process of fruit spirits, typical Alsatian products, Miclo is expanding its range by offering two quality gins. The imprint of the land of origin can be found especially in the Gin Forestier, for the production of which berries and plants coming directly from the forests of the Vallée de Kaysersberg, a valley of the Upper Rhine near the Vosges Mountains, are used.
