Description: Master blender Gabriela Ayala has selected 15 barrels of exceptional quality, all containing rums distilled in 2004, the distillery's first year of production, bottled in 2019, aged 15 years, each with a production of no more than 238 bottles. Of the 15 barrels in this inaugural Licorera Cihuatán selection destined for the world market, three were chosen by Pellegrini for distribution in Italy
Each barrel has been given the identifying name of a character taken from Mayan myths and deities, whose images are featured on the label, graphically reworked in a modern style. Each of these rums, in addition to its intrinsic significance as a historical memory of the distillery, is also an exploration in a kaleidoscope of olfactory and taste nuances. To honor and preserve the precious essences, they were bottled at full strength. Aging took place in medium toasted American white oak, formerly bourbon
