TASTING NOTES.
Color: Light amber.
Nose: It has an intense and distinctive flavor in perfect balance between agave, wood and a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.
Palate: Robust and complex tasting with expressions of cooked agave and honey, it is balanced by barely perceptible smoky hints and notes of dark chocolate that come out later. An intense tequila with a light, long-lasting persistence.
DESCRIPTION: Anejo Don Julio tequila boasts sixty years of tradition and processing still largely done by hand. Production is personally overseen by 80-year-old Mastro Tequilero Don Julio, who chooses only the best blue agave plants, with more than 20 percent sugar and grown for at least 10-12 years in the Mexican hills of Jalisco. Don Julio Anejo is made by double distillation and left to age in oak barrels for 4 to 8 months, but never more than a year.
