TASTING NOTES.
Color: Golden.
Nose: Whisky that stands out for its freshness on the nose thanks to salty, extremely clean and elegant notes. Hints of vanilla and anise give way to a characteristic trace of wet earth.
Palate: Explosive on the palate, peat prevails with hints of ash, sweet tar, seawater and an engaging smokiness. The finish is of poignant length, marked by a return of the same vaguely salty aroma enhanced by hints of spicy licorice. Unforgettable.
DESCRIPTION: Big Peat is a small batch whisky, that is, created in small batches (about 5,000 bottles) unfiltered cold and without dyes. An exciting, real and full-bodied whisky, awarded 96 points and as the best blended whisky of 2011 by Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
