Description: Champagne Carte Blanche Demi-Sec Louis Roederer's cuvée Champagne Carte Blanche Demi-Sec is composed of about 40 percent Pinot Noir, 40 percent Chardonnay and 20 percent Pinot Meunier, but unlike the Brut Premier, this Demi-Sec is softer and more measured, capable of showcasing a creaminess that well illustrates the capabilities of Roederer's house demi-sec. A quality achieved in large part through the use of the celebrated reserve wines that lend roundness and strength to the blend. The blend to be barrel-aged is made with a 5% proportion of wines vinified in oak barrels, then aged for 3 years in the cellar and at least another 6 months after disgorgement.
TASTING NOTES.
Appearance: Fine and persistent perlage
Color: Straw yellow
Nose: The nose is broad and rich with intense notes of honey and candied and ripe fruit.
Taste: In the mouth it is creamy and full with a refined and persistent acidity that gives it a delicate freshness, necessary to support its well-balanced structure. The hints that stand out are still the sweet ones of candied fruit and almost caramelized accents that hint at hints of honey and powdered almonds
PAIRINGS: Ideal to drink with a delicious wild strawberry tart
FRUITY: Serve at 10/12°C
