Vinification: Trerose's Rosso di Montepulciano Salterio is a red made from 95% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangovese biotype) and 5% Colorino. The vineyards of provenance-with an average age of 10 years-are located in the hamlet of Valiano di Montepulciano, on the border between Montepulciano (SI) and Cortona (AR), and are on sandy, clay-loam soils. After red vinification-that is, with maceration of the must on the skins-the wine was aged for 3 months in 100-hectoliter French oak vats.
