TASTING NOTES.
Color: Garnet red with light orange hues
Bouquet: The nose expresses all the aristocratic nobility of Bertani's great Amarones. Notes of leather, cocoa, underbrush, white truffle, walnut husk and, only at the end, red fruit under spirits, open to a taste of rare composure
Taste: Balsamic and lively, it surprises with an acid vein of great taste definition. Soft, enveloping, persuasive, very long, it closes with a broad, lingering finish that excites
PAIRINGS: Ideal to accompany braised meats, an old Bertani Amarone also finds a particularly accomplished sense at the end of a meal, as a meditation wine.
FRUITY: To be served at 18°C.
VINIFICATION : In mid-January, grape destemming and crushing take place. After maceration at 4-5°C, a slow fermentation phase begins, lasting about 50 days and reaching about 18°C. Bertani Amarone Classico ages in Slavonian oak barrels, with an average capacity of 60 hl, for about six years. This is followed by bottle aging of at least 12 months.
