Description: Masciarelli's "Iskra" is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva whose grapes grow around the Aprutine hills located in the municipality of Controguerra. We are located in plots positioned between the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea, at an elevation of about 250 meters above sea level, and the training method chosen for the Montepulciano vines is simple guyot. After the grapes are crushed, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This is followed by the aging phase, in which the wine first rests for 12 months in oak barriques and then, after bottling and before release, for another 24 months directly in glass.
