Description: Piantavigna's Ghemme di Torraccia is a red wine produced in one of the most famous and historic appellations of Alto Piemonte. The Ghemme area has always had a vocation for viticulture, thanks to a cool climate with beautiful sunny exposures and particularly fine soils. Ghemme is a historic DOCG from the Novara hills, a refined wine that already breathes the mountain air and gives floral notes of licorice, spices and small berries.
1 Bottle of Gattinara DOCG 2018
Typology: Red wine
Denomination: DOCG
Grape varieties: 100% Nebbiolo
Winery: Torraccia del Piantavigna
Country: Italy
Region: Piedmont
Alcohol content: 14%.
Format: cl 75
Description: Piantavigna's Torraccia Gattinara is a red wine with an elegant, complex and austere profile that encapsulates the characteristics of this splendid terroir of the Upper Piedmont. It is a pure Nebbiolo with a special face; in fact, it was born in an area with a cool climate, characterized by soils rich in iron minerals, a reminder of the eruptions of the very ancient Val Sesia volcano. In these lands the presence of vines has remote origins, and the wines of Gattinara have always been famous for finesse and extraordinary longevity.
