THE PRODUCER: In the heart of the Ager Falernus, on the slopes of the volcano of Roccamonfina, in the municipality of Sessa Aurunca, in a cellar entirely dug into the tuff towards the end of the 14th century, after years spent producing wines in an amateur way, in 2004 the decision to devote oneself to wine in a more careful and professional way is matured and thus comes to life engaged in the production of PDO "Falerno del Massico" wines. With the 2004 vintage begins the production of Volpara winery, realizing since the beginning real enological excellences, unique and recognizable, thanks to the particular smoky notes that the production territory imprints on wines. Thus was born Tuoro riserva, a name closely linked to the production territory (Tuoro is the very name of the small medieval village where the vineyard falls), it is a Falerno del Massico red riserva of great gustative structure, rich in a range of unique and exclusive scents and aromas. Ri Sassi, also named after ancient medieval settlements (Ri Sassi, meaning small dwelling caves) is a Falerno del Massico red, structured and elegant, with great taste-olfactory intensity. The line continues with Donna Jolanda and Don Federico, the former is a Falerno del Massico Bianco and the latter a red IGP Roccamonfina, structured and balanced rich in floral and fruity notes typical of the territory of origin. The names are intimately linked to family affections. In fact, Jolanda and Federico are the parents of Antonio Passaretti - owner of the winery - and they are the example to this day, of how love for one's land and stubbornness in believing strongly in its potential, can lead to great results. Avoiding emigration in the 1950s, they kept their roots firmly in the land that a few years later would yield the nectar we find today in the bottles of Falerno del Massico produced by Azienda Volpara. Pink and White are two PGI Roccamonfina wines with the same namesake colors, pleasant, fragrant and perfectly balanced. Rugiada, a very special sparkling wine with low alcohol content designed for young people to be served as an aperitif and/or cool alcoholic beverage, closes the production.
