Nose: Releases intense smoky sensations of peat, dried flowers, brackish and iodine notes, malt, candied fruit and caramel.
Palate: Taste, where the initial heat is diluted with sweetness to end on a long, almost saline finish.
DESCRIPTION: Whisky characterized by the intense peat aromas that smoking and water give it during the distillation and aging process. Lagavulin is aged for 16 years in oak barrels.
