TASTING NOTES.

Nose and Palate: Complex gin, combining the resinous notes of juniper and those of mandarin with floral and spicy notes, without missing some balsamic notes given by almond and vanilla. Overall, however, the gin is perfectly balanced and pleasant.

DESCRIPTION: Gin Gold is produced in a small distillery located at the confine between France, Germany and Switzerland, in a small village in Alsace. After obtaining the alcoholic base in a first distillation, two more distillations take place to perfect its quality and infinally a distillation and infusion with the different botanicals give birth to Gin Gold 999.9. Trivia: In the early 1900s, during some excavations in Alsace, a golden still was found that, having no particular historical value, was sold to a distillate lover who tried to create a product with it that had the same value as the gold of the still. Thus Gold 999.9 was born, named because it was "liquid gold" for the man who put so much passion into his gin made with tangerines, vanilla and almonds. Apparently, the golden still had been buried in the late 1800s, during the Franco-Prussian War, in an attempt to save it from looting when Alsace and Lorraine fell into German hands.
