Primitivo di Manduria Riserva wine produced by the Apulian winery Attanasio comes from the vinification of grapes grown in the coastal hinterland, on the characteristic clay-rich red soils of the Manduria countryside. The vines are planted according to the ancient Apulian alberello training method, and the plants are about 50-60 years old. They produce few bunches, but with grapes with very rich and intense aromatic kits, which are harvested by hand at the point of full ripeness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a long maceration on the skins. The wine then matures for 40 months in steel tanks and 24 months in barriques. It finishes the long aging process with several months in bottle before release.
