TASTING NOTES.
Color: Vivid ruby red
Nose: The nose expresses a complex bouquet, with persuasive fragrance of raspberry jam and with hints of scrub rose and ripe black cherry
Palate: Full, soft on the palate, characterized by a certain savoriness and great elegance. It closes with a pleasantly spicy finish, with good persistence
PAIRINGS: For the whole meal, it goes well with roast red meat and medium-aged cheeses. Excellent with a roast pork loin
FRUITY: Best served at 16°C (61°F)
VINIFICATION: The Sassella subzone, Valtellina Superiore Docg, is the most historic area for wine production in the valley; here the vines have an average age of 60 years. Grapes are harvested strictly by hand on the stone wall terraces. After a slow fermentation, as the nebbiolo grape dictates, it is aged for 24 months in Slavonian and French oak barrels. Sassella Nino Negri is characterized by its structure but above all by its softness and drinkability
